Albert Fish
Albert Fish was the youngest of four children, he was born in 1870. When he was 5, his father died and his mother could not support him and so let him in an orphanage. In the orphanage the children were made to strip and take beating in front of each other, however Albert developed a sexual pleasure connected with the beatings and began getting erections whilst he was being whipped. This then lead to him being bullied by the other children.
When Albert was 9 he was reunited with his mother after she found a job that could support them, but by the age of 12 Albert began a relationship with a boy who introduced him into eating his own feces and drinking his own urine. At this time he would also scan newspapers for the details of lonely women and write them extremely explicit letter.
In 1890 he then moved to New York and became a male prostitute and began to rape small boys, and continued to do so after he married in 1898 and had 6 children of his own. He worked as a house-painter and during his career would molester the small boys that lived there, usually under the age of , and even stabbing a young boy to death.
Albert first went to prison in 1903 where he had regular relationships with men, one of which he tried to castrate. In 1917 his wife then ran off with another house-painter which lead Albert to have severe delusions and would regularly hear voices in his head. Albert's behaviour then became very aggressive to himself, and just like as a child he gained pleasure from harm and so started to self-harm. To do this he would often push needles into his groin and he would sometimes do this so deep that they would then be irretrievable.
On July 15th 1924 he then committed another murder, however it was the first murder he committed that was confirmed. On February 11th 1927 he then abducted a 4 year old boy whilst he was playing hide and seek. He took him to a house where he held him captive and returned after lunch the following day when he beat him to death and then dismembered the poor little boys head, arms and legs and threw them in the river. Over the next 4 days Albert then kept returning to cannibalize the torso and thighs.
In 1928 Albert then went about finding an 18-year old boy who had put an advert in the paper for work. Albert went to the boys house and met him and his 10-year old sister. He hired Edward, the young boy and told him he would sent for him, but he heard nothing. Albert then returned to Edwards house and apologised saying he will sent work soon but had his little sister's birthday party to attend, and after some persuasion Edward's parents let his little sister, Grace go along too.
Albert took Grace to an empty house, stripped off, stripped her off and then choked her to death. He then cannibalized her over the next 9 days. This investigation went on for 5 years until he then wrote an explicit letter to Grace's mother telling her of the gruesome murder of her young daughter.
Once the police had found that the letter came from Albert, the lead investigator, King, waited outside the house Fish was staying at until he returned, and when he did so he agreed to go quietly with King, only to then try and attack him with a razor blade. A 10 day trial was then held and in that time Albert admitted to all the murders of the young children, and many people believed he was clearly insane. After many different interviews and examinations Albert was deemed sane and guilty and sentenced to death by electric chair. Albert thanked the judge for this, due to his sick obsession with pain. The first attempt to kill Albert was believed to be because it was short-circuited by all the needles he had pushed into his groin, however the second attempt was successful and he was buried in the prison cemetery.
